An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthy Behaviours Practitioner to join the Hackney Recovery Service (HRS).

Hackney Recovery Service is an integrated end-to-end treatment and recovery service which offers a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial and recovery orientated interventions to Hackney residents experiencing issues with drugs and/or alcohol, their families and significant others.

The Healthy Behaviours Practitioner will play an important part in development of the Hackney Recovery Service. They be responsible for delivering a range of Integrated interventions targeting substance misuse, smoking, gambling and risk taking behaviours. They will focus on preventative work with lower level users to address the lifestyle factors that lead to substance misuse and other harmful behaviours.

The post holder will deliver assessment and satellite provision across the Integrated Substance Misuse Service (ISMS), psychosocial treatment across ISMS and work closely with the recovery and reintegration practitioners and clinicians to support service users through their recovery. They will also provide case management, initial and comprehensive assessment, risk assessment, care planning, safeguarding coordination and case management.

The successful candidate will also have a good range of administrative skills and have competent IT skills. The post requires an organised individual with excellent communication skills who is able to multi-task and prioritise whilst managing a busy office environment. The individual should be patient, display good people skills and exemplify the WDP values.
