Young People’s Gangs and Transition Lead
WDP has been providing drug and alcohol services in the London Borough of Brent since 2006 and has just been awarded the new integrated community substance misuse and wellbeing service as lead provider, working in partnership with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL).
We are seeking to recruit dynamic and passionate Gangs and Transition Lead to work within the Brent Young People’s Team to contribute to the success of the Brent Recovery and Wellbeing Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work innovatively with the wider community in Brent to make a real difference to the lives of young people.
We are seeking to appoint an individual who can also bring WDP’s core values to the role:
1. Entrepreneurial – you will be driven and solution focused to meet the challenges our young people face
2. In partnership – you will be a strong team player, working closely and effectively with key stakeholders in the Borough
3. Strong belief in service users – you will be ambitious for those we help and this will come across strongly in your practice with Young People
4. Community focussed – you will provide and shape services that serve the whole community
To be successful you will need to have an excellent understanding of the complex needs and challenges faced by Young People. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a passion for working creatively.
There will be a requirement to travel between designated service hubs and satellites across the borough.
WDP is a recovery focused organisation. Our staff and volunteers are committed to helping our service users to improve their health and wellbeing, and to become free from dependency.
WDP is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.
WDP aims to be an equal opportunities employer.
