After many months of hard work and dedication from our team at WDP, we are delighted to announce the launch of our new website.

Our goal during the design process was to create a user-centred, accessible website across all platforms and devices. We wanted to focus on making it easier for people to access the help they need and to learn more about the support we provide at WDP.

We began the research and design process in 2019, working alongside The Access Group to identify our key audiences and their website needs. Created with the user experience in mind, the site includes new features to help users to navigate the site and find the information they are looking for quickly and easily. New features include:

  • Postcode finder to help people find their nearest WDP service by entering their town or postcode
  • Improved navigation to enhance the user experience and reduce the number of clicks to navigate the site
  • Real stories to bring our service users and their experiences to the forefront of the site
  • Accessibility features to ensure that our information and support is available to all
  • Donations area for those who wish to support WDP and the people that we work with

Yasmin Batliwala, Chair of WDP, said: “Many months of hard work and dedication has resulted in our new website which we are delighted to officially launch today. Our intention is to provide a new website which is faster, easier to navigate, and more user-friendly. Through it we hope to provide up-to-date information about our services, share our knowledge and expertise in drug and alcohol misuse and demonstrate our impact with real stories. As always users of our service are at the heart of all we do.”

Anna Whitton, CEO of WDP, said: “This new website is the product of a good deal of hard work and collaboration. We’ve really thought about the user experience in the process and I’m really proud of both the improvements made and the potential for continued development.”

The first version of our new site is live, however we will be continually improving the site, adding new features and keeping our service users at the heart of everything we do.

We shall continue to work with our service users to make sure that our new website suits their needs, and the evolution of the website will be directly influenced by their feedback and consultations.

If you have any feedback or comments about the website, please get in touch via our contact us form.
