The service

WDP has been providing drug and alcohol services in the London Borough of Hackney since 2015.  We actively promote recovery and work with individuals, those affected by someone else’s substance misuse, and the local community to improve the health, well-being and functioning of residents. 

Our specialist team include substance misuse workers, doctors, nurses, consultant psychiatrist. Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psycho-social and recovery-orientated interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment and treatment for their drug and/or alcohol problems.

We are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and passionate individual who thrives on achieving results to be an important part of the WDP Hackney management team.  

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and supervise a team of Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioners who provide case management, initial and comprehensive assessment, risk assessment, care planning, safeguarding coordination and case management for any individual coming into the service.  The Criminal Justice Team Leader is also responsible for managing assessment and satellite provision, the psycho-social treatment provided at the service, and supporting the wider clinical interventions.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, committed, recovery focused, and use their drive and innovation to ensure a consistent high-quality service, showcasing good practice, high performance and excellence in given areas of expertise.


  • Salary band of £34,000 - £37,000 per annum
  • Fixed Term maternity cover  (9 months)
  • 37.5 hours per week


Based across the two service hubs on Mare Street (Treatment Hub) and Westgate Street (Reintegration Hub), close to London Fields rail station.
