Job role:

Are you an NMP seeking a new opportunity to provide recovery-focused care to people who use substances in one of WDP’s fully-integrated service?

The Service

WDP Harrow is a fully-integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Harrow residents, irrespective of circumstance.

Like other organisations, WDP have adapted their service model as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We remain passionate and committed to supporting people who are experiencing increased use of substances - or are struggling to maintain their recovery - as a response to change, worry, isolation, or illness during this crisis.

The Role

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and passionate NMP who can contribute to the ongoing success of this service, providing recovery-focused treatment and care for people who misuse substances within the Borough of Harrow.

As a Non-Medical Prescribing nurse at WDP, you will provide opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and relapse prevention medications. You will also lead on BBV for the service, providing vaccinations and delivering training to recovery practitioners.

This role would suit a newly-qualified NMP with an interest in substance misuse, BBV, and harm reduction. WDP are committed to the ongoing professional development of all our staff. Through joining WDP you will receive a warm welcome, peer support, training, regular supervision and the chance to thrive in a lively and innovative service.

  • Permanent contract
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary band of £44,316 to £50,000 per annum (including all allowances)

The role is based at the Harrow hub, and will involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.

Why Should You Apply?

  • An opportunity to join one of WDP’s flagship services and contribute to service development.
  • Be part of a high-performance team that is focused on quality and welcomes innovation.
  • Lead on driving WDP’s new strategy for Harrow.
