Job role:

Would you like to work as a dedicated recovery practitioner helping service users to achieve sustained recovery?

 The service

WDP has been providing drug and alcohol services in the London Borough of Havering since 2015.  We actively promote recovery and work with individuals, those affected by someone else’s substance misuse, and the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of residents.

Our specialist team includes substance misuse workers, doctors, nurses, as well as volunteers and peer mentors. Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial and recovery-orientated interventions that supports individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment and treatment for their drug and/or alcohol problems.

We are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and passionate Recovery Practitioner to contribute to the ongoing success of the service in this vibrant borough.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy service making positive changes in service users’ lives, through a non-judgemental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals.

We are seeking committed, hardworking and highly-motivated candidates, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance misuse and related health and wellbeing issues.
