The service

The Kingston Wellbeing Service is an integrated drug and alcohol treatment and recovery support service for adult residents of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.

Based in Surbiton Health Centre and operating at locations across the borough, the service is high performing, ambitious and extremely well regarded by stakeholders and the local community. 

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is the lead provider of this partnership service and WDP is subcontracted to deliver recovery-based services across the borough.  The team is committed to providing opportunities for individuals to make positive changes in their lives, through a non-judgmental, harm reduction based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals.

The role

This is a senior and important role within the WDP element of the Kingston Wellbeing Service.  We are looking for an exceptional Team Leader with the right blend of skills, experience and personal qualities who can make a significant contribution to the continued success and development of the service.  The successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate about service users and delivering high-quality services and someone who thrives as part of a successful team.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a range of key stakeholders including commissioners and service users
  • Good people management
  • An understanding of performance management approaches
  • Good understanding of substance misuse data sets.

  • Salary band of £28,000 - £33,825 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week


You will be expected to work from the Kingston Wellbeing Service site and across the borough during the working week, as well as attending organisational meetings at WDP’s Head Office in central London.
