Detox and Rehab at Passmores

The Detoxification and Stabilisation Unit at Passmores House is a safe, supportive and secure environment with 24 hour nursing, support and counselling staff. All residents receive a thorough medical assessment and ongoing care plan in order to meet their individual needs. Our treatments are designed to withdraw residents comfortably from addictive substances, using evidence-based national guidance.

All facilities are on-site. The time needed for detoxification can vary from 7 to 28 days, depending each resident's needs. In addition to detoxification, we also offer an opiate substitute stabilisation programme for those who need to achieve stabilisation in a residential setting in order to complete a community-based treatment programme.

In addition to pharmacotherapy, we offer a range of healthy living and complementary programmes with the goal of preparing the individual for healthy living after discharge:

  • Medically supervised detoxification programmes
  • Individually tailored care
  • Help offered with alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines and Z drugs
  • We can manage very complex detoxification programmes
  • Very specialist clinical team led by a consultant in Addictions Psychiatry
  • Exciting and interesting group work programmes
  • Discharge planning
  • Close links with local GP services, dental care, and General Hospital
  • Good outcomes

The rehabilitation programme provides an intensive therapeutic treatment plan alongside preparation for sustained recovery and community reintegration. The focus is placed on tackling primary barriers to on-going recovery, and preparing for re-engagement with education, training or employment.
Each resident has a personalised rehabilitation plan and take part in our 12 week or 24 week programmes.
